Samantha R. Baker, Esq. is the founder of Evergreen Legal, a boutique estate planning firm based at the Jersey Shore. She is passionate about helping others protect their wealth and create a legacy by designing estate plans with intention.
Known for her client-centered approach, Samantha transforms a traditionally overwhelming process into one that’s clear, grounded, and empowering. She believes estate planning should be a conversation—not a transaction—and that every family deserves a plan aligned with their values and real life.
As both a mother and an entrepreneur, Samantha understands the value of time and the importance of clarity. Through her signature planning packages, she offers thoughtful legal guidance and high-touch support, providing the peace of mind that comes from safeguarding what matters most.
Before founding Evergreen Legal, Samantha practiced at established law firms in Portland, Oregon, advising clients in estate planning, probate and trust administration, and trust and estate litigation—giving her firsthand insight into where planning succeeds, and where it breaks down. Prior to her legal career, she served as a development director for national nonprofits, helping individuals and organizations thoughtfully manage resources in alignment with their goals and philanthropic intent. After spending a decade in the Pacific Northwest, where she built her legal career and started her young family, she has since returned home to the Jersey Shore, bringing her experience, perspective, and commitment to thoughtful planning to the community that shaped her.
Estate planning at Evergreen Legal is never just transactional. It’s personal, purposeful, and deeply grounded in your life—not just your assets. Here, you will:

Welcome! I’m Samantha, founder of Evergreen Legal, and your trusted counsel for thoughtful estate planning.
My path to this work wasn’t traditional. Before becoming an attorney, I spent years as a nonprofit fundraiser, helping people invest in the causes and communities they cared about most. Then, I became a mother, and I felt a pull to create something more expansive for my own family. So I took a risk on myself and went to law school.
At the time, estate planning sounded like something meant for other people—not families like the one I grew up in. That perspective changed when I volunteered at an estate planning clinic during law school. Sitting with real families, I saw both the peace of mind thoughtful planning creates and the uncertainty families face when important decisions have been left unmade.
That’s what shaped how I practice today.
I founded Evergreen Legal to make estate planning feel clear, grounded, and accessible. My goal is simple: to help you make informed decisions, protect the people you love, and move forward with confidence.
As both an attorney and a mother, I understand the quiet responsibility of protecting your family's future without operating from fear. And estate planning, at its core, is an act of love and responsibility. It is one of the most meaningful ways we can care for the people who matter most.
If you’re ready to approach planning with clarity, care, and intention, I would be honored to guide you.
